(PALM DESERT) – It takes a Classic to know a Classic.
The Coyote Classic golf tournament, which raises thousands of dollars annually for the SoCal Coyotes non-profit leadership organization and its numerous youth outreach programs, has relocated to Classic Club in Pal Desert and will be played Thursday, May 9, with a shotgun start.
Cost is $200 a player, which includes cart, unlimited bottled water, Classic Club logoed towel, range balls, dinner and drinks, and evening awards presentation.
Walter Neil, CEO of Franklin Loan Center, headlines a group of corporate participants supporting the tournament, which primarily supports the Coyotes’ award-winning Above the Line leadership camps, clinics and symposiums, that annually impact 50,000 Coachella Valley youth of all ages.
The nationally recognized championship course was designed by Arnold Palmer and served as host site of the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Bob Hope Classic. Widely considered one of the finest courses in the nation, Classic Club features rolling terrain, wide landing areas, 30 acres of water features, 14 bridges, as well as an abundance of pine trees, pine straw ground cover and five sets of tees on each hole.
“Every participant will enjoy a ‘member for a day’ experience,” said Greg Rubino, Classic Club General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. “Classic Club annually supports over 100 charitable events with our top-flight staff, which will make the Coyote Classic a memorable event for desert players.” As the owner of Classic Club, the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation is partnering with the SoCal Coyotes in their endeavors to provide educational and social services to desert youth.
“We are happy to support the Coyote Classic, and we are excited that the successful fundraising tournament is moving to Classic Club,” said Doug Vance, H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation Vice President of Real Estate. “The SoCal Coyotes are making life-changing impacts on our community’s youth, and we are proud to partner in this worthy effort.”
