(INDIO) - DFI Commissioner Joel Williams and league president Lynn Cain were among the dignitaries at the recent Big Rock Coyote Classic golf tournament to support thousands of area youth in the Coachella Valley.

Closest-to-the-pin winners included Jeff Burke, John Marsden and former Indian Wells Mayor Richard Balocco, who took home cash prizes, dozens of TaylorMade Golf Balls and a TaylorMade Wedge.
The Big Rock Pub and the SoCal Coyotes event at the Indian Springs Golf Club also featured a silent auction and an evening of live entertainment to benefit upwards of 30,000 Coachella Valley youth through the SoCal Coyotes non-profit organization.
Indio Mayor Mike Wilson, Mayor Balocco, Riverside County deputy District Attorney Mike Tripp and U.S. Congress candidate Dan Ball were notable civil servants who participated.
No players were able to claim the free car for a hole-in-one, sponsored by I-10 Toyota.
Participants enjoyed all-day happy-hour prices from the award-winning Big Rock menu. The day ended with a world-class silent auction featuring an array of autographed guitars from rock 'n' roll legends The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Bon Jovi, among others.
